First Month | Recap

It’s the first day of February which means that it has already been a month since the start of my blog and I seriously can’t believe that. It feels like I started blogging only yesterday and yet it also seems like I’ve been doing this for years. Does that even make any sense?
Anyway, I wanted to take this opportunity to look back at everything that has already happened.

I’m quite proud that I have already published 9 posts. To a lot of you that may not seem much, but for me it’s quite something. When I started my blog I always thought I wouldn’t have that much to write about or to keep things interesting. I’m not sure whether or not my posts have been interesting, but I still have a couple of ideas for the future so you won’t see me quit any time soon. I’m currently posting twice a week, every monday and friday. Though I’m not completely sure if I’ll be able to keep that up, but I’ll try.

I am overwhelmed by all the support and kindness I’ve gotten from all of you. I never would have thought that people would actually notice, let alone follow my blog. As I’m writing this I have 65 followers and I’m very thankful for all of them. They make me feel that my blog is worthwhile and motivate me to keep blogging. I want to specifically thank Shealea from That Bookshelf Bitch (go check her blog, it’s amazing), because she especially supported me from the very beginning and I learned a lot from her. I also quickly want to mention Aldana and Aria as they are wonderful people with great blogs.

Working on and improving my blog never stops. I’m constantly tweaking certain things and adding more features. I’m still thinking of new stuff to add to my blog everyday.
I have recently added a section called 2016 to my blog. There you can find everything I’m watching/reading this year. For now it’s still a bit empty, because well it’s still the beginning of the year and I also had my finals which meant that I didn’t have much time. I reckon these will fill up rather quickly now that my exams are over.
I’m still not entirely settled on the design of my blog. I like what I’ve done so far, but it doesn’t seem right for some reason. I’m currently looking into changing the style, but it may take a while before you’ll see some noticeable changes.

I have stopped reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close for a while. It’s not that it wasn’t interesting, but I just couldn’t get into it. I had problems with remembering what it was about and who everyone was, since I had to read it with big breaks in between due to my finals.  I’ll definitely pick it up again in the future, but not right now.
I’m currently reading The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and I’m really liking it so far. Expect a review of that one soon. And now that I have some free time on my hands, I’m probably binge-watching Daredevil and Jessica Jones. On top of that I’ll finally do a marathon of the Star Wars movies, because I haven’t seen these yet and it’s about time I did. I might write posts about these things (I’m not entirely sure) and there’s also another haul coming soon.

This was just a little post to give you an update of what’s happening with my blog right now. I’m thankful for everyone who’s supporting me. I won’t do this kind of post monthly, but I thought it would be appropriate for my first month.
