Yes I know, my blog has only been around for just over a month and I’m already changing everything about it. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, which means that I’ll never stop trying to improve things. When something isn’t right, I’ll figure out how to make it better or completely start over. That’s the exact same thing that happened with my design.
I liked my old design, it was consistent and not all over the place. I put a lot of effort in keeping it coherent and maintaining the overall look. Though after a month, I started to doubt whether or not it was the right design. I just wasn’t entirely satisfied. That’s when I began looking for alternatives and well one thing led to another so I ended up changing everything about it.
Thanks to some advice from other bloggers (I’m looking at you Shealea, Syc and Aria), I did keep the icons from my previous logo, but they moved to the background instead. I thought that was a nice compromise between keeping things simple, while still having it represent the identity of my blog. I did however change the coffee icon into headphones, since I don’t actually drink coffee. I used it in my previous logo as I felt like there was missing something and I couldn’t think of anything else to put in. Though now I’ve come up with something that represents music, because I’m very interested in music and there might be some posts in the future that will deal with that.
A main point that had to change was the colour of my blog. The red in my previous design was a rather convenient choice as it was one of the default colour palettes that came with that particular theme.
It’s too bad we have to purchase a certain plan to be able to customise our blog the way we want. Now we are fairly limited as to what we can do. Though that didn’t stop me. I went through every single
free theme there is to look for one with a colour palette that better fitted my needs and a nice looking structure. I already had a few colours in mind from a set called Finland in which I painted my walls.
I hope you all like the new design and if you have any recommendations feel free to tell me. I’ll always be improving this design, but I’m really happy with how it turned out.
I’ll see you later!

Great new blog design Jonas! This looks a bit more professional and I like it. 😀
Smart decision to include the headphones vector instead of the coffee cup (I’m not a coffee drinker too).
