Blogger’s Story | Awards

Ever wondered why and how this blog exists? Probably not, but this post is all about that. I was nominated for this award by Kyleigh from Bookbabereviews. She hasn’t been around for long, so definitely go check and follow her blog. This is a bit of a shorter post due to me going on vacation.

Questions

What is your blog’s name and why did you name it that?
My blog name is Other Things as you probably already know. The story behind why I named it that is not that special really. I was wondering what my blog was going to be about and it was books, movies, tv series, comics and other things. So I turned the last part of that sentence into my blog name. It’s as simple as that.

How long have you been blogging?
I have started my blog the first day of this year, so January 1 of 2016, and I’ve been enjoying every second.

How many followers do you have?
I currently have 112 followers and I want to thank all of them for their support.

Who was your first follower?
That must have been Angela and Jordan from Literary Real Talk.

What got you into blogging?
I’m really passionate about movies and books. I like to watch them, I like to read about them and I like to talk about them. Now my friends sure like to watch movies and books, but they’re probably not as addicted about them as I am. Whenever I start talking (read raving) about something, I feel like I’m this weird overly obsessed person who can’t shut up and knows way too much little details. Therefore I started this blog to be able to talk to other people who are equally obsessed as I am.

What is your favourite part about blogging?
The community and getting feedback from all of you. It’s really great to read your comments on things I wrote and put a lot of thought in.

If you could improve anything at all about WordPress/blogging, what would it be?
I would probably like to change the fact that you have to pay for certain features, like advanced blog customisation. I’m fully aware that that’s not going to change and we should be grateful that we can use this site mostly for free, but one can dream right?

Why do you continue to blog?
I continue blogging because it’s been an amazing experience so far. I have been really happy with how it has turned out thus far and I’ve even made some friends already. I also feel like this blog is some kind of motivation for me to read more and look at things differently.

There you have it, some minor details about this blog and why I made it. I’m nominating everyone who reads this to do the same.
I’ll see you later!

    1. I kept thinking about a good name for my blog and then I just took the last part of my blog description and I think it works so 😁 Oh and thanks for the nomination!

  1. Hey there. Thanks for following my blog. I’d love to know what attracted you since we cover different stuff, at a quick glance. I’m having a look around yours as well. Keep on blogging – looks great from what I’ve seen.

    1. I stumbled upon your blog through your ‘MCU problem’ post. I’m a very big fan of superheroes and all things Marvel so to follow your blog was a no-brainer really 😁 I have some superhero-coverage as well, but it’s from a bit longer ago and it’s far less than what you do.
